Cole Porter’s songs and compositions have been recorded and performed by a wide range of artists in a variety of musical genres. Porter recording artists include Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Anita O’Day, Julie London, Rosemary Clooney, Dionne Warwick, Judy Garland, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, amongst many, many others.

Red Hot + Blue: A tribute to Cole Porter was the first compilation album from the Red Hot Organization in the Red Hot Benefit Series. It features contemporary pop performers reinterpreting several songs of Cole Porter, and the title of the album originates from Cole Porter's musical Red, Hot and Blue.

It was released as a benefit CD for AIDS research and featured 20 Cole Porter songs recorded by artists such as U2, Annie Lennox, Deborah Harry, Iggy Pop, and The Neville Brothers.

“The Life Story of Cole Porter” was originally produced by Wink Martindale during his days at Gene Autry's KMPC in Los Angeles.
