Uli Bella

Ulises Bella, (“Uli” Bella) is a career musician, multi-instrumentalist, and founding member of L.A.'s iconic Grammy award winning band Ozomatli. The six-piece band primarily plays Latin, hip hop, and rock music, formed in 1995 in Los Angeles.

They are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and their wide array of musical styles – including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, rap, and others.  As a freethinker and forever the student in life and love, Uli brings his freethinking mindset, respect for diverse cultures, and musical talent to Rock 101.9FM.

Uli has worked and collaborated with a variety of artists, including as Santana, Fishbone, Maná, Gabriel Iglesia, Common, De La Sol and many, many more. The weekly radio show features new artists, reviews, occasional studio performances, and in-depth interviews that showcase diversity and freethinking.
