The Wallflowers were formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by lead singer and guitarist Jakob Dylan, the son of the legendary Bob Dylan. The Wallflowers known for their heartfelt lyrics and a blend of rock, roots, and folk influences, the band achieved significant success in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Their breakthrough came with their second album, Bringing Down the Horse (1996), which was both a critical and commercial hit. The album, produced by T-Bone Burnett, featured iconic tracks like “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” and “The Difference.” “One Headlight” earned the band two Grammy Awards and became one of the defining rock songs of the era.

Bringing Down the Horse is The Wallflowers’ second album and was released worldwide on May 21, 1996. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett and includes four singles: "6th Avenue Heartache", "One Headlight", "The Difference", and "Three Marlenas". Bringing Down the Horse reached number four on the Billboard 200 and went quadruple platinum, becoming the Wallflowers' highest-selling album to date. Three songs from the album were nominated for Grammy Awards.

The Wallflowers are praised for their introspective songwriting, Dylan’s soulful vocals, and a sound that bridges classic and modern rock. Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with Jakob Dylan remaining its creative force. Their discography includes standout albums like Red Letter Days (2002) and Exit Wounds (2021), showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their roots.
