The Black Keys Drop New Single ● “I Forgot To Be Your Lover” from their New Album Ohio Players
The Black Keys dropped a second track off their upcoming album, a remake of “I Forgot To Be Your Lover”. The William Bell and Booker T. Jones written song, recorded first by Bell in 1968, was a Top 10 hit for Billy Idol in 1986. Their version is more like the songwriters version.
The other songs on the album feature collaborations among the band’s Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney with various artist like Beck, Noel Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, and others.
Along with the new album titled, Ohio Players, which comes out on April 5, The Black Keys will release a documentary film this year.
