Don Bolles

Don Bolles has been serving the Greater Los Angeles Area since 1978, when he moved there from Phoenix, AZ to join seminal LA punk combo The Germs.  

Besides playing with about a million bands (Germs, 45 Grave, Nervous Gender, Vox Pop, Celebrity Skin, The Seeds, Psychic TV, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Fancy Space People, Astrologer, and Hammered Satin, to name a few), Don has also been a staple of LA media for many years.  He’s worked as a freelance writer (LA Weekly, Ben Is Dead  zine, National Law Journal), a radio DJ (KPFK, MARS-FM, KBLT, KXLU), an internet radio DJ (WFMU.org, Dublab, Spike Radio), and as co-producer of an anarchic public access television show (The 3 Geniuses), and even wrote a book -  “Lexicon Devil - The Short Life and Fast Times of Darby Crash and the Germs” (Feral House).

 Bolles also appears in more than a few major documentaries, including “The Decline of Western Civilization,” “Bathtubs Over Broadway,” “The Source Family,” “Desolation Center,” and TV series “Punk” (featuring Pop) and the upcoming series “Inside Punk” with LA punk legend and hit record producer Geza X. 

Now, in 2024, Don Bolles is beginning an exciting new phase in his quest for total world domination with two weekly  IVOX RADIO shows - “Rebels Rule,” a  high-energy Junkshop Glam / Bubblegum show on Saturdays, and “The All Night Truckdriver Show,” (psychedelic sound collage, audio anomalies, guests), the perfect soundtrack for any journey, whether you’re trucking down the Interstate or exploring the mysterious nether regions of outer (or inner) space.
